The Wild Card Round
- Kansas City Chiefs over the Houston Texans 20-13: I simply cannot pick against the Chiefs because they are the hottest team in the NFL right now, and they have won ten straight games after starting the season 1-5. This game will feature two of the best defenses of the second half of the season, and I believe that the game will come down to which offense can push the ball down the field and solidify the running game.
- Pittsburgh Steelers over the Cincinnati Bengals 28-20: It's really difficult for me to pick against the Bengals in another divisional round matchup as they've lost all of them so far in the Dalton-Lewis era, but I don't think that they will be able to get the job done once again. First and for most, Dalton will not be playing, and the ball will be in AJ McCarron's hands. Offensive numbers have dipped with him playing quarterback, and I do not think that the Bengals will be able to put up points. Also, I am not sure if the Bengals can control the Steelers offense, even without DeAngelo Williams. The one way the Bengals will be able to win is if the defense can force turnovers.
- Seattle Seahawks over the Minnesota Vikings 31-23: The playing conditions are going to be incredibly harsh, but I am going to go with the team that is hot, and the one that has more experience in the playoffs. Russell Wilson has been playing out of his mind during the second half of the season. He has thrown 24 touchdowns and one interception during this stretch, truly remarkable. I think that if the Seahawks are able to build a big lead just like the last time these two teams played, the Vikings will shy away from the running game and Adrian Peterson, causing major complications for them on offense.
- Washington Redskins over the Green Bay Packers 30-20: Kirk Cousins and Co. is on the rise while it's exactly the opposite with Aaron Rodgers and Co., who having been playing horrendous football on offense. Horrendous. The offense looks completely out of sync, and in my opinion, are not a playoff team. On the contrary, Cousins, Jordan Reed, Pierre Garcon, DeSean Jackson, and the rest of the Redskins offense is on fire. They have been blowing out teams in the first half and earned their spot in the playoffs. I think that they'll be able to get the win over the Packers in this one behind a balanced offense and defense.
