Kirk Cousins is the Guy
This year's free agent class seems pretty weak, especially at certain positions, compared to others. Some players, such as LeVeon Bell and DeMarcus Lawrence, will probably be taken off the market once their teams use the franchise tag on them. The player who will probably receive the most attention during free agency is Kirk Cousins, who is a top fifteen quarterback in the league. He will most likely not be retained by the Redskins. Here are my top fifteen free agents for this offseason (who have a good chance of remaining on the market):
- Kirk Cousins - Quarterback
- Allen Robinson - Wide Receiver
- Jarvis Landry - Wide Receiver
- Lamarcus Joyner - Defensive Back
- Andrew Norwell - Offensive Guard
- Dontari Poe - Defensive Tackle
- Sheldon Richardson - Defensive Tackle
- Case Keenum - Quarterback
- Teddy Bridgewater - Quarterback
- Trumaine Johnson - Defensive Back
- Nate Solder - Offensive Tackle
- Sammy Watkins - Wide Receiver
- Justin Pugh - Offensive Guard
- Morgan Burnett - Defensive Back
- Dion Lewis - Running Back
Other News:
- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released running back Doug Martin after six seasons, as well as defensive tackle Chris Baker, who have not lived up to expectations.
- The Philadelphia Eagles promoted their wide receivers coach, Groh, to their offensive coordinator role, after losing Frank Reich, who became the new head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.
