Ranking the New Head Coaches

Colts Hire Frank Reich


A couple of days ago, the Indianapolis Colts decided to hire Frank Reich, the former offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles, as their new head coach. The Colts planned on hiring Josh McDaniels, but he decided to stay with the Patriots at the last minute. Now, every team has a head coach, and they are set to make plans for the NFL combine, free agency, and the draft. Here is how I rank the new head coaches in the league:
  1. Jon Gruden - Oakland Raiders HC
  2. Matt Nagy - Chicago Bears HC
  3. Frank Reich - Indianapolis Colts HC
  4. Matt Patricia - Detroit Lions HC
  5. Steve Wilkes - Arizona Cardinals HC
  6. Mike Vrabel - Tennessee Titans HC
  7. Pat Shurmur - New York Giants HC

Pats Win Over Falcons 34-28 in OT It was a tale of two halves. In the first half, the Patriots could not get anything going on the offensive side of the ball. Week 14 Power Rankings

Cowboys on a Roll, Panthers Drop Not many people expected the Dallas Cowboys to top the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football during Week 13. The Saints came into the game winning ten straight, while the Cowboys were a "mediocre" team in the midst of a three-game winning streak. The Cowboys won 13-10 and will rise in the week's rankings. In other important games, the Chicago Bears lost a shocker to the New York Giants, Lamar Jackson won his third straight game for the Baltimore Ravens against the Atlanta Falcons, the Houston Texans won their ninth straight game, and the Los Angeles Chargers won a close one against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Carolina Panthers are quickly fading in the wild-card race, and have lost four straight games. Week 7 Power Rankings

Chiefs Suffer First Loss; Ravens Shut Out Titans The New England Patriots were able to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs by three points at home, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers came back to avoid an upset to the 49ers, the Steelers defeated the Bengals, and the Dolphins took down the Bears at the end of overtime. There were some unexpected wins and losses, as well as some close games, in Week 6. The Dallas Cowboys blew out the Jacksonville Jaguars and their top-notch defense, 40-7. It is been hard to figure out which teams are "contenders" and which are "pretenders" this season. It is especially difficult to rank the middle of the pack teams.
