Marcus Peters to the Rams
The Kansas City Chiefs will be trading former All-Pro, Pro Bowl, and Rookie of the Year cornerback to the Los Angeles Rams for a couple of draft picks. Peters is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, and he has had the most interceptions and passes defended since entering the league in 2015, so it is surprising that the Chiefs would trade a budding star. The main reason for this move was probably that his antics on and off the field were not supported by the organization. The Chiefs suspended him for one game last season, and he did not create a "good" environment in the locker room.
With this trade, the Rams get another cornerstone on defense, that will only help their young team get better (as long as Peters takes care of some of the character concerns). Also, the move also indicates that the Rams will allow corner Trumaine Johnson to walk in free agency.
