Atlanta Drops Another Game, Fall to 3-3
The Atlanta Falcons lost to the New England Patriots 23-7 on Sunday night. They lost to the same team in Super Bowl 51 34-28 in overtime. The Falcons seemed as though they were over the devastating Super Bowl loss, but they have lost three straight games after starting the season 3-0 (all of the losses were to AFC East teams). The Falcons offense has not been great. They do not have as many big plays this season, and are simply lacking the same explosiveness that they had last season. Another problem is that the team is not converting in the red zone. Yesterday, they scored on only one possession out of four in the red zone. They missed two field goals and did not convert on a fourth and goal. The offense does not have any rhythm, which is partially because the team has a new offensive coordinator in Steve Sarkisian. The team better figure out the solution to their offensive troubles soon, because it looks as though their season is unraveling.
They play the New York Jets at Metlife Stadium next weekend.
